We are looking for an Firmware System Engineer to develop and deliver robust, secure, and high-quality firmware solutions for NVIDIA’s next-generation product lines. In this role, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams in engineering, product management, and architecture to enable the bring-up of cutting-edge NVIDIA networking and AI platforms and silicon. Your work will be key in ensuring a seamless, safe, and efficient firmware release process from development to mass production. The dynamic and fast-paced work environment will require you to excel in problem-solving and system-level debugging, all while fostering collaboration among exceptional engineers across NVIDIA's global sites.What you’ll be doing:Identify, diagnose, and addressing high-value problems during the product onboarding process, such as software compatibility, PCIe, security, network interoperability and communication issues between componentsVerify that all integrated components interact as intended. This includes functional testing to ensure software components work correctly on various hardware testing platformsValidate firmware features at hardware power-on stageBridge between software, architecture, HW and production engineering teamsWhat we need to see:BS.c in Electrical/Computer Engineering or equivalent experience1+ years of relevant experience and/or knowledgeStrong system-level understanding and hands-on lab experienceExcellent interpersonal and intercultural skills, including written and verbal communication in EnglishWays to stand out from the crowd:Knowledge in SW-HW interfaces, PCIe, memory subsystems, storage components, network applications, device drivers and real-time softwareProgramming knowledge in Python/C/C++ or PerlDeep understanding of computing architectures, hardware systems block diagrams and schematic sheets understandingPrevious roles in system validation positions or technical leadWe are an equal opportunity employer and value diversity at our company.
