If this sounds interesting and you’re up for the task, we’d certainly like to hear from you!What you’ll be doing:You’ll lead a team to develop, debug, and maintain GPU firmware throughout the NVIDIA GPU lifecycleDrive execution of GPU firmware for multiple consumer product lines with aggressive schedulesDefine firmware feature roadmaps to align with hardware and industry specification advancementsProvide direction for design and implementation of creative solutions for boot softwareCollaborate with hardware, software, and business teams to transform new firmware features from idea to realityWork with leading OS and PC vendors to improve/innovate the startup experienceImprove team software process and core infrastructure via projects dealing with build systems and regression farmsContinuously evaluate and improve security for firmware that functions as a root of trustWhat we need to see:BS or MS degree in EE/CS/CE or equivalent experience10+ overall years of experience in the software industry4+ years’ experience in leading teams developing device BIOS, firmware, or other low-level softwareStrong C skillsEven stronger communication skillsSense of humor stronger than your C skills encouraged, but not requiredDeep understanding of software processEasy to work with, as you’ll constantly work closely with both hardware designers and other software engineers and managers to design, develop, and debug functional (and non-functional!) aspects of GPU subsystemsWays to stand out from the crowd:Examples of customer facing system software features that you drove to completionKnowledge of the PC architecture including PCI/PCIe as well as display technologies like DP and HDMIExperience developing for UEFI environmentsExperience in working on datacenter softwarePassion for your workWe are widely considered to be one of the technology world’s most desirable employers, and as a result have some of the most brilliant and talented people in the world working for us.
