NVIDIA’s Deep Learning Architecture and Libraries group is seeking excellent Software Engineers to design and develop the software stack for our next generation test and development cluster, the core infrastructure that provides a foundation for every stage of our product development. Join our technically diverse team of GPU architects, software engineers and infrastructure experts to unlock unprecedented deep learning performance in every domain.What you'll be doing:Architect, develop, and maintain Python-based tools and services to efficiently run a performance-focused multi-tenant Linux cluster including embedded, desktop, and server systemsWork with industry standard tools (Kubernetes, Slurm, Ansible, Gitlab, Artifactory, Jira)Actively support users doing development, functional testing, and performance testing on current and pre-production GPU cluster systemsWork with various teams at NVIDIA across different timezones to incorporate and influence the latest tools for operating GPU clustersCollaborate with users and system administrators to seek out ways to improve UX and operational efficiencyBecome an expert on the entire AI infrastructure stackWhat we need to see:BS or higher degree in computer science with 4+ years of relevant experienceAdept programming skills in multiple languages including PythonIn-depth experience with distributed systems and cluster management stacks (logging, monitoring, scheduling, etc.)Hands-on experience with continuous integration and deployment tools (e.g. GitlabCI)Outstanding ability to understand users, prioritize among many contending requests, and build consensusPassion for “it just works” automation, eliminating repetitive tasks, and enabling team membersDeep understanding of Linux system administration and container technologiesProficient English communication skillsWays to stand out from the crowd:Experience automating operations for bare-metal clustersExperience with GPU computing systemsTrack record of identifying useful new technologies or methods and incorporating them into SW development flowsExperience as an active contributor to a SW project involving many developers or as a maintainer of open-source softwareNVIDIA is widely considered to be one of the technology world’s most desirable employers.
