Job Description

Our Autonomous Vehicles Platform Team is searching for a hands-on simulation engineer to design ground-breaking solutions that will revolutionize the world of transportation and the growing field of self-driving cars. You will collaborate with hardworking and dedicated multi-functional engineering development teams across various vehicle subsystems to integrate their work into our autonomous driving platform.What you’ll be doing:Collaborate across platform software, infrastructure, and ADAS algorithm teams to translate replay and simulation requirements into replay/simulation framework architecture and designDrive technical solutions for new concepts related to replay/simulation framework and infrastructureDesign, document and optimize software architectures and frameworks for real-world performance while matching or exceeding customer requirementsEngage in exciting, fun and challenging work involving a plethora of unsolved problemsWhat we need to see:BS/MS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related engineering field (or equivalent experience)8+ years of relevant experience working in software engineering and simulationExcellent C and C++ programming skillsExperience designing, developing, and debugging complex systemsSolid understanding of QNX, Linux and real-time operating systemsSolid understanding of simulation concepts & strong foundation in mathematics.Experience working on a large scale simulation system (open and close loop) for an AV stackAbility to self-manage and adapt in a dynamic environmentPossess excellent written and verbal communication skillsWays to stand out from the crowd:Knowledge of automotive systems, notably ADAS applications and preferably autonomous driving systemsEmbedded system, SW/HW cross-domain knowledgeHands-on and work well within a team of system, software and infrastructure engineers, with a significant level of detail orientation and a penchant for data organization and presentationExcellent communication, presentation, social, and analytical skills; the ability to communicate complex interaction concepts clearly and persuasively across different audiences and varying levels of the organizationNVIDIA is a “learning machine” that constantly evolves by adapting to new opportunities that are hard to solve, that only we can pursue, and that matter to the world.
