Role Overview

The Observability & Operations Manager role at PepsiCo's Operations Center in Mexico City is pivotal for ensuring IT stability and driving cutting-edge AIOps initiatives. This full-time position demands a technical lead who excels in anomaly detection, incident management, and automation to minimize business disruptions. Reporting to operations leadership, you'll collaborate with global teams, DevSecOps, and managed service providers (MSPs) to enhance reliability across PepsiCo's vast infrastructure, including cloud platforms like Azure and AWS.

Key Impact Areas

Focus on proactive incident identification, root cause analysis for major incidents, and optimizing Mean Time to Resolve (MTTR) and Mean Time to Detect (MTTD). Leverage tools like Splunk, Dynatrace, and BigPanda to build a world-class Command Center.

Key Responsibilities

In this dynamic role, your responsibilities include:

• Acting as technical lead in PepsiCo’s Operations Center to drive system and technology (S&T) stability.
• Spearheading AIOps-based Command Center success through anomaly detection, proactive incident resolution, and senior management reporting.
• Partnering with operations leads and subject matter experts (SMEs) to implement monitoring and automation best practices for maximum business value.
• Working with DevSecOps teams to ensure service reliability and reduce business impact.
• Collaborating with Major Incident Managers and MSPs to pinpoint root causes and automation opportunities for high/critical incidents.
• Providing technical guidance to team members and vendors while identifying stability improvements.
• Aligning with Problem Management and Major Incident Management (MIM) for enhanced monitoring.
• Improving MTTR for major incidents and MTTD through observability and hyper-automation collaborations.

Qualifications & Requirements

PepsiCo seeks proven professionals with:

• 5+ years in Compute Operations or Compute Engineering roles.
• 5+ years in IT Command Center environments.
• Hands-on experience with technologies: Azure, AWS, PCF, Kubernetes, Linux, Windows, VMware, Cisco, F5, Palo Alto.
• Expertise in observability and AIOps tools including Splunk, ElasticSearch, AppDynamics, Dynatrace, Grafana, Prometheus, Datadog, BigPanda, MoogSoft.
• Proficiency in automation: Ansible, UiPath, ServiceNow ACC, Python/PowerShell scripting, REST/API development.
• Familiarity with AI/ML frameworks, Agile/Scrum, and vendor management.
