Polar Tankers, our wholly owned subsidiary, manages five double-hulled Endeavour-class tankers: Polar Endeavour, Polar Resolution, Polar Discovery, Polar Adventure, and Polar Enterprise. These vessels transport North Slope production from Valdez, Alaska, to West Coast refineries, ensuring reliable energy delivery.
As an Offshore Oiler - Marine, you'll work under the First Assistant Engineer and Junior Engineer aboard these state-of-the-art tankers. This safety-sensitive role demands a solid grasp of engine room machinery and auxiliary systems for monitoring, maintenance, and troubleshooting. Expect 12-hour shifts (including overtime), extended voyages over two months, and participation in drills, emergencies, and pollution prevention.
Based in Houston, Texas, this full-time position involves rigorous physical demands in harsh offshore conditions. Relocation is not available, making it ideal for local maritime professionals with valid credentials.
Work typically spans 12-hour days in extreme weather, confined spaces, and uneven terrain. You'll push/pull up to 200 lbs, lift 100 lbs floor-to-shoulder, climb 200-ft ladders, and stand for extended periods—often alone.
