The Account Executive - Japan drives new customer acquisition and expansion for small to medium-sized businesses in the Japan market, owning the full sales cycle from prospecting to closing. This high-velocity role focuses on mapping Okta's identity and access management solutions to customer challenges, building strategic relationships, and accelerating SaaS adoption. Key Responsibilities: • Build and execute a comprehensive territory plan for the Japan market, including prospecting and pipeline development • Manage the full sales cycle for small to medium prospective customers, from initial outreach to contract negotiations and closing • Present Okta's Platform and Auth0 solutions to C-level executives in-person and remotely, emphasizing pricing and business outcomes • Collaborate with sales engineers, professional services, partners, and account teams to own deals cradle-to-grave • Develop long-term strategic relationships with key accounts, partners, and customers to drive expansion and success • Accelerate customer adoption of Okta's secure access, authentication, and automation technologies What We're Looking For: • Minimum 5 years of sales account management experience for a technology vendor in the Japan market • Proven track record selling SaaS solutions to small to medium-sized businesses with consistent quota attainment • Strong verbal and written communication skills in Japanese, with English as a plus for global collaboration • Extensive experience presenting to C-level executives in-person and managing complex sales cycles • BS/BA degree required, plus a robust network of partnerships with customers, executives, and channel partners What We Offer: • Competitive compensation with equity and benefits • Health, dental, vision insurance and 401(k) matching • Flexible PTO, parental leave, and professional development • Hybrid work options and inclusive, collaborative culture Okta is an Equal Opportunity Employer committed to diversity and inclusion.
