As an AI/ML Engineer II on Okta's Intelligence Accelerator team, you'll build scalable ML infrastructure, agentic AI systems, and developer tools to accelerate machine learning and generative AI adoption across the company. This role bridges data platforms, research, and product teams to power Okta's next-generation AI/ML platform, enabling classical models, LLMs, and autonomous agents. Key Responsibilities: • Design and maintain scalable ML infrastructure for distributed training clusters, real-time inference serving, and high-performance feature stores using tools like Airflow and MLFlow • Implement agentic AI infrastructure, including standards like Model Context Protocol (MCP), to securely connect LLMs with internal tools, data, and APIs • Build internal developer tooling for product teams to leverage generative AI workflows, RAG pipelines, and vector databases without managing underlying infrastructure • Architect and deploy robust ML systems with automated CI/CD workflows for model training, validation, deployment, and MLOps best practices • Design scalable data pipelines to ingest, process, and transform data from warehouses, ensuring quality, security, and compliance for ML models • Collaborate with data scientists, engineers, and stakeholders to optimize, monitor ML systems, troubleshoot issues, and evangelize AI/ML strategies What We're Looking For: • 3+ years of software engineering experience with strong focus on backend systems, distributed computing, or cloud infrastructure • Proven expertise in building ML infrastructure, including distributed training, inference serving, feature stores, and vector databases • Hands-on experience with MLOps tools like MLFlow, Airflow, CI/CD pipelines for ML workflows, and agentic AI technologies • Strong skills in designing secure, scalable data pipelines for data ingestion, processing, and compliance in ML environments • Experience optimizing and monitoring ML systems, troubleshooting performance issues, and collaborating cross-functionally What We Offer: • Competitive compensation with equity and benefits • Health, dental, vision insurance and 401(k) matching • Flexible PTO, parental leave, and professional development • Hybrid work options and inclusive, collaborative culture Okta is an Equal Opportunity Employer committed to diversity and inclusion.
