As Corporate Counsel - Cybersecurity at Okta, the World's Identity Company, you'll advise on cybersecurity and privacy matters for global sales transactions, draft and negotiate data processing addendums, and ensure compliance with GDPR and other data protection laws. This role is pivotal in supporting Okta's cloud-first SaaS platform, helping thousands of customers secure their identities while driving business growth. Join our Cybersecurity & Privacy Legal team to tackle cutting-edge projects in a dynamic, inclusive environment. Key Responsibilities: • Advise, draft, and negotiate cybersecurity and privacy terms in Master Subscription Agreements, Information Security Documents, Data Processing Addendums, and sales transaction ancillaries, partnering with Commercial Legal. • Provide day-to-day pragmatic legal support on cybersecurity and privacy contract requests, responding promptly to internal clients with business-oriented guidance. • Support investigations of security and privacy incidents, analyzing legal and regulatory responsibilities, and guiding mitigation, remediation, and resolution. • Develop and maintain standards, processes, runbooks, and guidance for cybersecurity and privacy in Go-to-Market transactions, collaborating with Legal, Security, Compliance, and Engineering teams. • Build relationships to deliver practical advice on legal risks, compliance with global cybersecurity and privacy laws like GDPR, and recommend escalation when needed. • Assist in reviewing security and privacy programs, policies, customer documentation, marketing content, and managing outside counsel on cybersecurity projects. Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of relevant legal experience in cybersecurity, privacy, and data protection law, ideally in cloud/SaaS or tech environments (experience)
  • JD from an accredited law school and active license to practice law in at least one Canadian or US jurisdiction (experience)
  • Proven expertise drafting and negotiating information security agreements, DPAs, and commercial contracts with cybersecurity terms (experience)
