As a Developer Support Engineer at Okta, you'll provide expert technical support to developers integrating our secure identity platform, troubleshooting API issues, and resolving bugs for CIAM customers and ISV partners. Your work directly impacts customer success by ensuring seamless authentication, access management, and automation on the Okta and Auth0 platforms. Join us in Bengaluru to advocate for developers in a hybrid role that blends hands-on coding, customer calls, and collaboration with engineering teams. Key Responsibilities: • Deliver precise troubleshooting and root cause analysis for Okta API integrations, SDK usage, and application development issues with end-to-end ownership. • Write code and scripts in JavaScript, Java, or Python to replicate and test customer scenarios using Okta APIs and SDKs. • Collaborate with Engineering, Product, and Documentation teams to document bugs, provide feedback on recurring issues, and enhance product quality. • Engage with the Okta developer community on Stack Overflow and forums, explaining technical use cases and best practices for identity management. • Participate in customer calls, standups, and office hours to resolve complex Developer and ISV Partner support tickets efficiently. • Create troubleshooting guides and update the support knowledge base to empower self-service for scalable, secure identity solutions. What We're Looking For: • BA/BS in Computer Science or related field with 3+ years in customer support, technical support, solutions engineering, or software development. • Proven experience supporting REST APIs and developer tools in a customer-facing role. • Proficiency programming in JavaScript plus one statically typed language (C++, .NET, Java) and one dynamically typed (Python, Ruby, PHP). • Expertise with classic and modern web stacks like Node.js, Rails, Django/Flask, JSP, and ASP.NET for troubleshooting integrations. • Passion for developer advocacy, excellent communication skills across chat, calls, and writing, with ability to work independently.   • Collaborate with Engineering, Product, and Documentation teams to document bugs, provide feedback on recurring issues, and enhance product quality.
  • Engage with the Okta developer community on Stack Overflow and forums, explaining technical use cases and best practices for identity management.
  • Participate in customer calls, standups, and office hours to resolve complex Developer and ISV Partner support tickets efficiently.
