Lead the international General Ledger Accounting team in Bengaluru to manage and scale month-end close processes for global entities, ensuring SOX compliance and accurate financial reporting. Drive efficiency through automation projects and provide executive insights on balance sheet fluctuations, revenue recognition, and FX impacts. This strategic role supports Okta's rapid growth as the World's Identity Company by building scalable US GAAP-compliant processes. Key Responsibilities: • Oversee GL month-end close for global entities, delivering timely and accurate financial statements with reviews of FX, intercompany, prepaids, fixed assets, and accruals • Prepare and present balance sheet and P&L fluctuation analyses, explaining variances to executive leadership • Lead, mentor, and develop the international accounting team, managing performance and fostering high-performance culture • Design and execute cross-functional projects for process optimization, automation, and enhanced global close efficiency • Partner with senior Finance stakeholders, providing strategic insights and decision support on complex accounting matters • Ensure SOX compliance, internal controls, statutory reporting, and audit readiness for 10-Q/10-K disclosures and external auditors What We're Looking For: • Bachelor's degree in Accounting; CPA or equivalent certification strongly preferred with 10-15 years progressive experience including Big 4 and public company • 4+ years management experience building and leading high-performing accounting teams • Expert knowledge of US GAAP, SEC regulations, SOX/internal controls, IFRS, and FRS • Proven strategic problem-solving, advanced analytics for complex ambiguous issues like revenue recognition and FX • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to influence senior leadership and present financial insights What We Offer: • Competitive compensation with equity and benefits • Health, dental, vision insurance and 401(k) matching • Flexible PTO, parental leave, and professional development • Hybrid work options and inclusive, collaborative culture Okta is an Equal Opportunity Employer committed to diversity and inclusion.
