Key Responsibilities: • Drive architecture and design of AI solutions, leading cross-functional initiatives with Product, Design, and Data Science teams • Design, build, and refine core backend services including LLM orchestration, RAG pipelines, and generative AI features • Build high-performance Agentic Experiences (AX) for web and mobile with streaming responses and low latency • Champion observability and operational excellence for enterprise-grade reliability and performance of AI services • Enable delivery of key AI projects through technical leadership, hands-on execution, and mentoring engineers • Collaborate with India-based peers, Security, Data, and Infrastructure teams for globally aligned, secure architectures What We're Looking For: • 10+ years in software engineering with strong backend systems design (8+ years in Python preferred, Java, Node.js, or Go) • 6+ years with modern front-end frameworks like React, Vue, Angular, accessibility (a11y), and Product/Design collaboration • Proven experience building and deploying production-grade AI applications and services • Experience with agentic frameworks like LangChain, LangGraph, and LangSmith • Strong background in distributed systems, microservices, resilient APIs (REST/GraphQL) on AWS, GCP, or Azure What We Offer: • Competitive compensation with equity and benefits (San Francisco base: $195,000-$293,000 USD) • Health, dental, vision insurance and 401(k) matching • Flexible PTO, parental leave, and professional development • Hybrid work options and inclusive, collaborative culture Okta is an Equal Opportunity Employer committed to diversity and inclusion.
