As a Sales Development Representative (SDR) in Tokyo, you'll prospect target accounts, qualify inbound leads, and generate sales-ready meetings to fuel Okta's Enterprise, Commercial, and Emerging sales segments in Japan. This inside sales role kick-starts your tech sales career by driving demand for Okta's market-leading identity and access management platform. Join the APJ xDR team to build revenue pipeline and advance to Account Executive positions. Key Responsibilities: • Prospect new business opportunities through targeted outbound calling and emailing initiatives on set accounts • Qualify, nurture, and develop high-volume inbound leads to identify sales-ready opportunities • Research contacts and execute multi-channel demand generation campaigns using phone and email • Utilize active listening to uncover customer needs and business outcomes during prospect interactions • Consistently achieve monthly quotas for calls, emails, meetings, and qualified opportunities • Collaborate with sales, marketing teams, and attend events while maintaining accurate data in SDFC and Outreach What We're Looking For: • 2+ years of previous corporate or business experience, with inside sales highly desirable • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Japanese • Highly motivated, driven, and self-starting mindset in a fast-paced environment • Strong ability to understand customer needs and align them with product solutions • Excellent time management and organizational skills with attention to detail What We Offer: • Competitive compensation with equity and benefits • Health, dental, vision insurance and 401(k) matching • Flexible PTO, parental leave, and professional development • Hybrid work options and inclusive, collaborative culture Okta is an Equal Opportunity Employer committed to diversity and inclusion.
