Okta is seeking a Senior Documentation UX Designer to shape the user experience of help.okta.com and developer.okta.com, making complex technical content intuitive for admins and developers. You'll bridge experience design and technical writing through wireframes, prototypes, user research, and architecture diagrams to enhance discoverability and usability. This role drives human-centered information design that aligns documentation UX with Okta's product experience, empowering global users to succeed. Key Responsibilities: • Lead human-centered information design, advocating for users throughout the documentation lifecycle on help.okta.com and developer.okta.com • Create and maintain architecture diagrams and technical illustrations supporting admin and developer documentation • Develop wireframes, prototypes, and user flows using design tools and data to deliver functional, delightful documentation experiences • Conduct user research including usability testing, surveys, and interviews to uncover behaviors, pain points, and needs • Collaborate with technical writers to establish UX best practices for images and content, ensuring consistency across deliverables • Analyze usage data and feedback, partnering with product and engineering teams to align documentation UX with Okta products What We're Looking For: • 4+ years of UX design experience with portfolio showcasing graphics and UX for complex web applications or documentation platforms • Proficient in Figma, Sketch, Adobe Creative Suite or similar tools for wireframing and prototyping • Expertise in design systems and codebases to maintain consistency in large-scale projects • Proficiency in research methods, interpreting analytics like Google Analytics or Tableau into optimized designs • Experience with A/B testing, user behavior data, and strategic visioning for enterprise-level products What We Offer: • Competitive compensation with equity and benefits • Health, dental, vision insurance and 401(k) matching • Flexible PTO, parental leave, and professional development • Hybrid work options and inclusive, collaborative culture Okta is an Equal Opportunity Employer committed to diversity and inclusion.
