As a Senior Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) on the Auth0 team at Okta, you'll design and build custom Go software to boost platform reliability, resiliency, and scalability for hundreds of millions of users worldwide. You'll partner with engineering teams to embed SRE principles like SLIs, SLOs, and error budgets, ensuring our authentication platform exceeds customer availability expectations. This role is pivotal in making Auth0's production systems robust and ready for exponential growth in a 24/7 cloud environment. Key Responsibilities: • Design and build custom software in Go to enhance platform reliability, resiliency, and redundancy. • Partner with engineering teams to embed reliability principles, improving availability, performance, and observability of services. • Use infrastructure and observability expertise to identify improvement opportunities and implement solutions in microservices architecture. • Participate in on-call rotation, troubleshooting and mitigating critical incidents in production environments. • Develop and refine SRE tooling and processes, emphasizing automation and operational efficiency. • Define, document, and champion reliability best practices across the organization. What We're Looking For: • 5+ years experience in production environments supporting large-scale, mission-critical applications with high autonomy. • Proficiency in Go or similar programming language for writing custom applications beyond scripts. • Hands-on experience with infrastructure as code (Terraform), Kubernetes, Docker, and GitOps (ArgoCD). • Demonstrable expertise in a major cloud provider like Azure, AWS, or GCP. • Strong knowledge of microservices, SQL/NoSQL databases, networking, and core SRE principles including SLIs, SLOs, and error budgets.
