As a Senior Technical Account Manager at Okta, you'll own the technical relationship with strategic enterprise customers, providing expert guidance on Workforce Identity Cloud (WIC), Auth0 Platform, and hybrid identity solutions to drive adoption and ROI. You'll partner with Customer Success Managers to review architectures, recommend best practices in SAML, OAuth, OpenID Connect, and ensure customers maximize security and business value from Okta's identity platform. This role is pivotal in fostering customer success, retention, and Okta's global growth in identity and access management (IAM) Key Responsibilities: • Fully own account management for a book of strategic enterprise customers, handling both business and technical aspects including identity federation and lifecycle management • Advise customers on Okta best practices, product adoption, and configurations for SaaS, on-premise, and custom apps in post-sales capacity • Partner with Customer Success Managers as their technical counterpart, responding to reactive questions from stakeholders on Workforce Identity Cloud and Auth0 features • Review customer Okta architectures and configurations to enhance security posture, capture ROI, and leverage new features like authentication and authorization protocols • Earn customer trust by understanding goals, recommending process changes, and driving subscription adoption, satisfaction, and retention • Establish strong relationships with key account decision-makers and contribute to content creation for internal and external IAM enablement What We're Looking For: • 8+ years in information technology, with at least 3 years hands-on as a Technical Account Manager (TAM) or comparable IAM practitioner role • Working proficiency in core IAM technologies like SAML 2.0, WS-Federation, OAuth, OpenID Connect for identity federation and access control • Deep experience with hybrid IT environments, including legacy applications lacking modern federation protocols • Expertise in enterprise identity ecosystems, Okta Workforce Identity Cloud (WIC), Auth0 Platform, and adjacent technologies • Proven ability to translate Okta solutions into business value through strategic technical guidance and architecture reviews What We Offer: • Competitive compensation with equity and benefits • Health, dental, vision insurance and 401(k) matching • Flexible PTO, parental leave, and professional development • Hybrid work options and inclusive, collaborative culture Okta is an Equal Opportunity Employer committed to diversity and inclusion.
