As a Senior Technical Consultant, Okta, you'll lead hands-on implementations and deployments of the Okta Platform and Auth0 Platform for enterprise customers in Washington, DC, ensuring secure identity management with SAML 2.0, OAuth, and OpenID Connect. You'll drive customer success by managing multiple concurrent projects, mentoring teams, and shaping scalable solutions that integrate with cloud and on-premise IT landscapes. This role is pivotal in building trust with thousands of customers like Adobe and LinkedIn, fueling Okta's growth as The World’s Identity Company. Key Responsibilities: • Provide hands-on technical design, configuration, and troubleshooting of Okta services for post-sales customer deployments • Manage project scope, schedule, status, and documentation across multiple concurrent identity management projects • Gather, analyze, and document customer requirements while communicating effectively at technical and functional levels • Mentor and train customers on Okta platform features, including identity federation protocols like SAML 2.0, WS-Federation, OAuth, and OpenID Connect • Act as liaison between customers, Product Management, Engineering, and Support to resolve escalated issues and drive product enhancements • Collaborate with sales on up-sell and cross-sell opportunities while continuously improving delivery processes for extraordinary customer satisfaction What We're Looking For: • 7+ years of experience in technical consulting, identity management, or professional services with hands-on deployment expertise • Proven experience applying SAML 2.0, OAuth, OpenID Connect, and WS-Federation in complex enterprise environments • Strong software development background in Java, Ruby, .Net, PHP, REST/JSON, JavaScript, and MVC frameworks like React or Angular • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple concurrent projects in cloud architectures and on-premise IT landscapes • Excellent leadership skills with experience mentoring teams, driving customer success, and influencing product development What We Offer: • Competitive compensation with equity and benefits • Health, dental, vision insurance and 401(k) matching • Flexible PTO, parental leave, and professional development • Hybrid work options and inclusive, collaborative culture Okta is an Equal Opportunity Employer committed to diversity and inclusion.
