This role is pivotal in championing SRE best practices, automation, and cloud-native infrastructure for Okta's Auth0, the world's leading identity solution. Key Responsibilities: • Drive the technical roadmap for the SRE team, collaborating with leadership to align with Okta's vision for Auth0 reliability and scalability. • Participate in global 24/7 on-call rotation with follow-the-sun weekdays and shared weekends to triage and resolve critical production incidents. • Lead complex cross-functional projects partnering with product, quality, platform engineers, and architecture teams on infrastructure resilience. • Leverage monitoring tools to detect issues, implement alerting improvements, and escalate to service owners while optimizing systems for high traffic. • Build and refine SRE tools, automation, and processes to eliminate toil, enhance observability, and boost software delivery efficiency in Kubernetes environments. • Mentor SREs via pair programming, code reviews, and design discussions; advocate reliability policies in architectural reviews and strategic planning. What We're Looking For: • 3+ years managing SRE or SWE teams in cloud-native environments like AWS or Azure, with 8+ years total industry experience leading cross-functional projects. • Proven expertise managing infrastructure as code with Terraform at scale, including containers (Docker, Kubernetes), microservices, and databases (SQL, NoSQL). • Strong leadership, communication, and project management skills to drive initiatives in a high-growth platform like Auth0. • SRE mindset: data-driven, blameless culture advocate approaching operations with software engineering principles and 24/7 on-call experience. • Deep knowledge of cloud-native architecture, modern networking, monitoring tools, and automation to optimize reliability and eliminate toil.
