Job Description

Join Okta as a Staff, Corporate Security Specialist. Okta is the leading independent identity provider, trusted by over 18,500 organizations worldwide. We help organizations securely connect people to technology. Establish and lead Okta's Insider Threat program in Bengaluru, our largest office outside the US, as a boots-on-the-ground security specialist driving detection, investigation, and mitigation of insider risks. Act as the primary point of contact for security issues, cultural ambassador, and bridge to global teams, while building a strong security culture through outreach and stakeholder collaboration. This critical role safeguards people, assets, and reputation in a high-growth SaaS environment, placing identity security at the core of business growth. Key Responsibilities: • Lead insider threat operations including triage, analysis, and end-to-end investigations of data exfiltration, policy violations, and workplace concerns • Conduct incident response for complex insider threat alerts and escalations as the first point of contact in Bengaluru • Analyze regional workforce dynamics and trends to assess resilience and recommend improvements to security controls and processes • Design and deliver tailored security briefings, training workshops, and awareness programs on insider threat risks and reporting channels • Build relationships with local HR, Legal, and IT leaders to integrate insider threat processes into regional workflows and localize global policies for cultural and legal compliance • Serve as a feedback bridge to the global Security team, providing insights on local sentiment, emerging risks, and program effectiveness What We're Looking For: • 8+ years total experience with 5-6 years minimum in insider threat management, corporate investigations, counterintelligence, or risk management • Proven ability to work independently with limited supervision in a remote-reporting role within a high-growth SaaS or technology environment • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills to distill complex insider threat topics for audiences from junior engineers to senior leadership • Strong end-to-end investigation skills including interviewing, evidence analysis, and report writing • Unquestionable integrity handling highly sensitive confidential information and experience collaborating with cross-functional teams like HR, Legal, and Privacy What We Offer: • Competitive compensation with equity and benefits • Health, dental, vision insurance and 401(k) matching • Flexible PTO, parental leave, and professional development • Hybrid work options and inclusive, collaborative culture Okta is an Equal Opportunity Employer committed to diversity and inclusion.
