Join Okta's elite Customer Centric Engineering team in Bengaluru as a Staff Customer Centric Engineer, troubleshooting and resolving the most complex customer escalations in our multi-tenant identity platform. You'll act as the critical bridge between engineering, support, and customers, driving fixes, building tools, and ensuring unwavering customer success in IAM solutions like OAuth, SAML, and OIDC. This role champions customer-first innovation, making identity secure and accessible worldwide. Key Responsibilities: • Troubleshoot, debug, analyze logs, profile code, and propose bug fixes or architectural changes for Okta platform and customer integrations • Collaborate closely with development teams to implement fixes, design changes, and enhancements for critical issues • Build and deploy internal troubleshooting tools, automation, and performance analysis solutions for engineering and operations • Understand customer use cases, liaise with support and escalation teams, and take full ownership of escalations to resolution • Provide status summaries on escalated cases, quarterback cross-functional responses to technical incidents, and communicate effectively with customers • Mentor junior engineers, participate in on-call rotations for critical escalations, and deep-dive into production issues prioritizing customer outcomes What We're Looking For: • 8+ years of industry experience in large-scale, multi-tenant production environments with Java, MySQL, Tomcat, REST, SAML, OAuth, OIDC • Proven experience in Customer Centric Engineering, sustaining teams, or Tier 3 support resolving complex customer escalations • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with action-oriented mindset for debugging, log analysis, and architectural proposals • Highly adaptable fast learner, resourceful self-starter able to work independently in fast-paced Identity and Access Management (IAM) space • Experience building tools and automation, cross-functional collaboration, and mentoring in engineering environments What We Offer: • Competitive compensation with equity and benefits • Health, dental, vision insurance and 401(k) matching • Flexible PTO, parental leave, and professional development • Hybrid work options and inclusive, collaborative culture Okta is an Equal Opportunity Employer committed to diversity and inclusion.
