Join Okta's Defensive Cyber Engineering team as a Staff Security Engineer, safeguarding our environments with enterprise security tools like Crowdstrike, Palo Alto, EDR, CASB, DLP, and SASE. You'll engineer scalable solutions using automation, Terraform, and cloud-native technologies to protect endpoints, SaaS apps, and corporate data. Your expertise will set security standards, influence architecture, and combat emerging threats in a cloud-first world. Key Responsibilities: • Serve as security SME for solution engineering, architecture reviews, vulnerability assessments, and mitigation strategies • Lead evaluation, design, and implementation of new enterprise security systems like EDR, CASB, DLP, MDM, SASE, and SSPM • Build and maintain custom automation and cloud infrastructure with Terraform to enforce security controls and support workflows • Develop API integrations with AWS, GCP, Azure, and security tools to enhance detection, response, and remediation • Collaborate cross-functionally to solve global security challenges across endpoints, SaaS, and cloud workloads • Establish monitoring, alerting for security posture, misconfigurations, and threats while proactively remediating gaps What We're Looking For: • Hands-on experience with enterprise security tools including Okta, Crowdstrike, Palo Alto for EDR, CASB, DLP, MDM, SASE, SSPM • Proven track record automating security controls and workflows in cloud-first environments like AWS, GCP, Azure • Expertise with Terraform and infrastructure-as-code for orchestrating security infrastructure and drift management • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines for security automation and policy-as-code implementations • Strong communication skills with technical teams, executives, vendors, and cross-functional stakeholders What We Offer: • Competitive compensation with equity, bonus, and benefits including health, dental, vision insurance, RRSP matching • Flexible PTO, parental leave, and professional development opportunities • Hybrid work options in Toronto and inclusive, collaborative culture • Annual salary range for Canada based on skills, qualifications, and experience Okta is an Equal Opportunity Employer committed to diversity and inclusion.
