As a Staff Software Engineer (Node.js) on the Emerging Tech team at Okta, you'll design and build secure, performant browser-based features using Node.js, TypeScript, and RESTful APIs to modernize identity security insights. Key Responsibilities: • Design secure, performant, cross-platform browser-based features for identity security insights. • Collaborate with team, Product, and Design to solve technical challenges and optimize user experience. • Build new features and maintain existing ones across the full-stack with Node.js and TypeScript. • Debug and resolve production issues, implementing fixes and participating in on-call rotations. • Evaluate new technologies and techniques to improve development practices and performance. • Drive greenfield development and iterate on data-driven applications for customer insights. What We're Looking For: • 8+ years of software development experience with full-stack applications. • Strong expertise in Node.js, RESTful APIs, JavaScript, and TypeScript. • Passion for owning, designing, and driving projects end-to-end. • Experience with greenfield development and iterating on existing features. • Excellent communication and collaboration skills in distributed, remote teams.
