As a Technical Account Manager (TAM) at Okta, you'll partner with enterprise customers to deliver strategic technical guidance on Workforce Identity Cloud (WIC), identity federation, and hybrid authentication solutions, driving adoption and ROI. You'll act as the technical expert translating Okta's platform into business value through best practices in SAML, OAuth, OpenID Connect, and lifecycle management. This role is crucial for ensuring customer success, security posture, and Okta's global growth in identity and access management (IAM). Key Responsibilities: • Fully own account management for a defined book of business, covering both technical and business aspects of Okta Workforce Identity Cloud • Advise customers on IAM best practices, product adoption, and configurations for SaaS, on-premise, and custom applications post-sales • Partner with Customer Success Managers as their technical counterpart, responding to questions from stakeholders on Okta features and security • Review customer architectures and Okta configurations to enhance security posture, capture ROI, and leverage new features like authentication and authorization • Earn customer trust by understanding goals, recommending process changes, and establishing relationships with key decision-makers • Participate in content creation for internal and external enablement on identity federation protocols and industry best practices What We're Looking For: • 5+ years in information technology, with at least 1 year hands-on as Technical Account Manager (TAM) or comparable IAM role • Proficiency in identity federation protocols including SAML 2.0, WS-Federation, OAuth, and OpenID Connect for access control • Experience with legacy applications in hybrid IT environments and non-standard apps lacking modern federation support • Knowledge of enterprise ecosystems like Salesforce, Office 365, Workday, and HR systems as identity masters for lifecycle management • Strong skills in advising on SaaS deployments, authentication, authorization, and translating Okta solutions to business value What We Offer: • Competitive compensation with equity and benefits • Health, dental, vision insurance and 401(k) matching • Flexible PTO, parental leave, and professional development • Hybrid work options and inclusive, collaborative culture Okta is an Equal Opportunity Employer committed to diversity and inclusion.
