Key Responsibilities

In this pivotal role, you'll wear multiple hats—from experiment designer to metrics architect. Here's what your day-to-day will look like:

• Partner closely with product teams to identify data-driven opportunities for product improvement and growth hacking.
• Lead the design, execution, and analysis of A/B tests evaluating model updates, UX changes, and feature launches.
• Define, track, and operationalize KPIs at feature, product, and company levels to guide strategic decisions.
• Build intuitive dashboards using tools like Tableau or Looker for self-serve analytics across OpenAI.
• Conduct deep-dive analyses on user engagement, retention, and monetization metrics for AI products.
• Prototype experiments and run simulations in Python to test hypotheses before full-scale rollout.
• Collaborate with research teams to measure the real-world impact of frontier AI models like GPT series.
• Communicate complex findings through executive presentations, reports, and cross-functional workshops.
• Integrate qualitative insights from UXR and surveys to validate quantitative experiment results.
• Develop scalable data infrastructure for real-time monitoring of products serving millions.

OpenAI offers competitive compensation reflecting San Francisco market rates: $220,000 - $350,000 base + equity + benefits. Total comp can exceed $500K+ for top performers.
