As a Principal Software Engineer, you'll architect the foundation for enterprise-grade AI products. Focus areas include building secure, scalable infrastructure; packaging OpenAI's AI capabilities for business appeal; and launching 0-1 innovations that supercharge specific domains. Key Responsibilities

In this pivotal role, you'll drive the engineering behind ChatGPT for Work. Key tasks include:

• Partnering with researchers, PMs, and designers to deploy new features and research breakthroughs.
• Accelerating team productivity via custom tooling, CI/CD pipelines, and developer platforms.
• Architecting secure, governable systems handling enterprise-scale traffic and compliance.
• Packaging AI models into intuitive products that win enterprise trust and adoption.
• Shipping 0-1 products delivering 10x capabilities in domains like sales, HR, and operations.
• Owning end-to-end reliability, including on-call for critical incidents.
• Building and rebuilding production systems to support explosive growth.
• Optimizing distributed systems for low-latency, high-throughput performance.
• Mentoring engineers and establishing best practices for scalable development.
• Analyzing user feedback to iterate on customer-centric features.
• Integrating emerging AI technologies into robust enterprise workflows.
• Collaborating on safety measures ensuring responsible AI deployment.
• Contributing to OpenAI's mission of safe AGI benefiting humanity.

Salary & Benefits
