As a Technical Program Manager on the Infrastructure Strategy & Delivery team, you'll coordinate datacenter deployments with external partners, ensuring projects launch on time and meet ambitious AI compute goals. This role demands a cross-functional mindset, blending commercial savvy, technical depth, and operational excellence.
Datacenter delivery involves navigating thousands of stakeholders, intricate timelines, and high-stakes risks. You'll think around corners, anticipate blockers, and drive suppliers to hit contractual milestones. From site selection in locations like Shackelford, Texas; Santa Teresa, New Mexico; or Saline, Michigan, to rack manufacturing ramps and commissioning, your work directly powers OpenAI's mission to advance artificial general intelligence safely.
This isn't just project management—it's strategic orchestration. You'll interface with executives, architects, engineers, and construction firms, establishing SLAs, tracking budgets, and delivering executive reports that keep multi-billion-dollar projects on track. Your day-to-day will be dynamic and high-impact:
Expect 3-5 days/week onsite at key build locations to maintain hands-on oversight.
