Position Summary

The Operations Intern position in Stockbridge, Georgia, offers a dynamic 10–12 week summer internship program designed for students pursuing careers in industrial technology and natural gas operations. This hands-on role provides immersive training in electrical, instrumentation, mechanical maintenance, and operational support within Williams' gathering systems. Interns work alongside experienced professionals, tackling real-world projects that contribute to facility efficiency and safety. Key Responsibilities

As an Operations Intern, you'll dive into the heart of natural gas operations with responsibilities that may include:

• Training in electrical, instrumentation, and controls while providing I/E support.
• Participating in flow path training, transmitter calibrations, and valve maintenance.
• Completing line locations, pigging operations, daily rounds, and readings in the gathering system.
• Building mechanical knowledge through preventative maintenance, compliance activities, and facility cleaning.
• Assisting with safe equipment maintenance, operational support, and problem-solving collaboration.
• Maintaining accurate records, logs, and reports for process operations and performance.

Day in the Life

Expect a fast-paced environment where you'll rotate through tasks like conducting field rounds, calibrating equipment, and supporting mechanical repairs. Safety is paramount, with ongoing training to ensure compliance and efficiency in extreme conditions.

Required Qualifications

Education and Experience

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Current enrollment and completion of at least one semester in Industrial Technology Programs at Southern Crescent Technical College or an equivalent accredited technical institution.

Physical and Environmental Requirements

This role demands physical readiness:

• Work in extreme temperatures, loud noises, and enclosed spaces.
• Lift/carry up to 50 lbs individually and team lift heavier loads.
• Stand, walk, climb, bend, stoop, and squat for extended periods.
• Work at heights using man lifts, ladders, scaffolding, or towers with proper PPE.
• Use hand tools proficiently.

• Valid State Driver’s License with a clean driving record.
• Not eligible for sponsorship.
• Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills with safety as the top priority.
