Position Summary

The Operations Intern - Lackawanna position offers an exciting 10–12 week summer internship program designed as your launchpad into the energy industry. Key Responsibilities

As an Operations Intern, you'll:

• Assist with tasks to safely maintain facility equipment and support operations, collaborating on technical and operational solutions.
• Acquire knowledge of safe, efficient facility operations, protecting personnel, community, environment, and assets.
• Complete assigned reports, logs, and accurate records of process operations and preventative maintenance.
• Participate in specialized training like flow path, electrical/instrumentation support, and mechanical maintenance.
• Perform field activities including transmitter calibrations, line locations, pigging, valve maintenance, daily rounds, and general asset cleaning.
• Engage in other duties as assigned, adapting to business needs.

Required Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you must meet these criteria:

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Current enrollment in and completion of at least one semester of a technical associates or certificate program at Lackawanna College.

Physical and Environmental Requirements

This hands-on role demands physical readiness. You must be willing to:

• Work in extreme temperatures, loud noises, and enclosed spaces.
• Carry/lift up to 50 lbs individually and team-lift heavier loads.
• Stand, walk, climb, bend, stoop, and squat for extended periods.
• Work at elevated levels using man lifts, ladders, scaffolding, or towers with proper PPE.
• Use hand tools and adhere to all safety protocols.
