Day in the Life

Expect a mix of training, fieldwork, and collaboration. You'll train in flow paths, calibrate transmitters, perform line locations and valve maintenance, assist with pigging and daily rounds, and build mechanical knowledge through preventative maintenance and facility cleaning. Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with safe maintenance of facility equipment and operational support, collaborating to solve technical problems.
  • Acquire and apply knowledge of safe, efficient facility operations, protecting personnel, community, environment, and assets.
  • Participate in electrical, instrumentation, controls training; provide I/E support and perform transmitter calibrations.
  • Complete line locations, pigging, valve maintenance, daily rounds, and readings in the gathering system.
  • Build mechanical skills via maintenance tasks, compliance activities, preventative maintenance, and general facility cleaning.
  • Maintain accurate reports, logs, and records of process operations and equipment performance.
  • Other duties as assigned, with emphasis on safety and teamwork.

Required Qualifications

  • Education: High School Diploma or GED required. Current enrollment and completion of one semester in a technical associates or certificate program, such as Industrial Technology, Diesel Technology, Electrical or I&E Program, Transportation and Applied Technology at SOWELA Technical Community College, Southwest Community College, or equivalent accredited institution.
  • Physical Requirements: Willing to work in extreme temperatures, loud noises, enclosed spaces; carry/lift 50 lbs individually or team lift heavier loads; stand, walk, climb, bend, stoop, squat for extended periods; work at heights using man lifts, ladders, scaffolding, towers with PPE.
