Position Summary

The Operations Intern position in Mead, Colorado, offers a 10–12 week immersive program designed as your launchpad into the natural gas industry. This hands-on internship provides real-world experience, technical skill development, and networking opportunities with seasoned leaders. Interns tackle meaningful projects from day one, collaborating on tasks that impact facility operations and energy delivery. Day in the Life

Expect a dynamic routine involving training in electrical and instrumentation systems, performing calibrations, conducting maintenance on valves and pipelines, and supporting daily operations. You'll work in a team setting, prioritizing safety while contributing to compliance and asset care in the gathering system.

Key Responsibilities

As an Operations Intern, your role will involve diverse, practical tasks tailored to business needs and your skills. Key responsibilities include:

• Assisting with safe maintenance of facility equipment and collaborating on technical/operational problem-solving.
• Training in electrical, instrumentation, and controls; providing I/E support.
• Participating in flow path training and performing transmitter calibrations.
• Completing line locations, pigging, valve maintenance, daily rounds, and readings in the gathering system.
• Building mechanical knowledge through preventative maintenance, compliance activities, and facility cleaning.
• Maintaining accurate reports, logs, and records of process operations and equipment performance.
• Adhering to safety protocols for community, personnel, environment, and assets protection.
• Other duties as assigned to support operations.

Required Qualifications

To succeed in this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Current enrollment in and completion of at least one semester in the Industrial Technology Program, Electrical, or Oil and Gas Technologies at Aims Community College.
• Valid State Driver’s License with a clean driving record.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and PC skills.
• Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills, with safety as the utmost priority.
• Willingness to work in extreme temperatures, loud noises, enclosed spaces, and at elevated heights using PPE.
• Ability to carry/lift up to 50 lbs individually or team lift heavier loads; stand, walk, climb, bend, stoop, squat for extended periods; use hand tools.
