Role Overview

The Operations Team Leader (OTL) role at PepsiCo's Coventry site is a frontline leadership position in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Operating on a Continental Shift Pattern of 12-hour shifts, this hands-on role demands proactive leadership to drive performance, safety, and continuous improvement. As the first point of escalation for your team, you'll coach and develop high-performing frontline employees (FLEs), ensuring production runs safely, efficiently, and to operational standards. Key Responsibilities

In this dynamic role, your responsibilities include engaging your team to drive performance across all operational aspects. You'll serve as the primary escalation point for FLEs on the production line, conducting regular development and performance conversations. Coach teams in problem-solving, continuous improvement, and positive behavioural change, while escalating service, performance, or behavioural concerns. Lead shift investigations into performance, people, quality, safety, or environmental incidents. Take full ownership of safety for employees, visitors, and contractors, responding swiftly to breakdowns, unplanned stops, and emergencies. Facilitate line balancing, material flow, planning, and risk management, and provide cover for absent colleagues as needed.

Daily Leadership Duties
