Position Summary

Williams is seeking skilled Operations Technicians at Levels I, II, and III for our state-of-the-art LNG facility in Plymouth, Washington. Key Responsibilities

Responsibilities scale with experience level, from foundational tasks at Level I to leadership at Level III:

Core Duties Across Levels

  • Safely operate LNG facility equipment in various modes, ensuring compliance with technical standards and government regulations.
  • Perform maintenance on facility and pipeline systems, utilizing hand tools and diagnostic methods.
  • Read and interpret process flow diagrams (PFDs), Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), electrical one-line drawings, and cause-and-effect matrices.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve operational, mechanical, electrical, and control system issues using technical diagrams and program guidelines.
  • Maintain accurate records, complete daily reports, logs, and work orders via CMMS tools like Maximo and SWM.
  • Communicate effectively with internal teams, external customers, and during process upsets or emergencies.

Level-Specific Expectations

  • Level I: Assist in basic operations and maintenance under supervision, focusing on safety procedures and utility systems.
  • Level II: Independently operate utility/emergency systems, handle holding mode operations, and complete tasks with minimal oversight.
  • Level III: Lead all facility operations, train/mentor juniors, solve complex faults, and drive team performance.

All levels may include other duties as assigned, with flexibility for after-hours, on-call, nights, weekends, holidays, overtime (10-12 hour shifts), and occasional travel.

Required Qualifications

To qualify for these roles, candidates must meet the following:

Education and Experience

  • Level I: High school diploma/GED.
  • Level II: High school diploma/GED + 1 year natural gas or equivalent experience.
  • Level III: High school diploma/GED + 2 years natural gas industry or equivalent experience.
  • Preferred: Associate's or 2-year technical degree, plus relevant licenses/certificates.

Other Requirements

  • Valid driver's license from state of residence with clear driving record.
  • Ability to pass federal LNG pre-employment physical.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and PC applications; adherence to company policies.
