Position Summary

Williams Companies is seeking motivated Operations Technician I/II/III to join our team in Proctor, West Virginia. This dynamic role offers the chance to contribute to critical pipeline operations in the natural gas industry. As an Operations Technician, you'll perform hands-on tasks to maintain facility equipment, ensure compliance, and resolve operational challenges. Key Responsibilities

  • Perform various tasks to safely maintain equipment and support pipeline operations, including reading and interpreting drawings, inspecting and supervising equipment, and maintaining operation/technical standards and governmental requirements.
  • Conduct data analysis and collaborate with team members to identify and implement solutions for technical or operational problems.
  • Follow all company policies and apply appropriate operating and maintenance procedures to ensure efficient facility performance.
  • Acquire and adhere to knowledge of safe and efficient operations, protecting the community, personnel, environment, and assets.
  • Maintain general knowledge of site-specific equipment, permits, and compliance requirements.
  • Complete assigned reports, logs, and maintain accurate records of process operations and preventative maintenance on equipment.
  • Other duties as assigned, including on-call support and overtime as needed.

Required Qualifications

  • Education: High School Diploma or GED required; Associate's or 2-year technical degree preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum 3 years as an operations technician or similar role; 2+ years in oil and gas preferred for higher levels.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office, PC skills, Process Control Systems, and Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC).
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to work in extreme temperatures, loud noises, enclosed spaces; lift 50 lbs individually or team lift heavier loads; stand, walk, climb, bend for extended periods; work at heights with PPE; use hand tools.
  • Work Schedule: Available for after-hours, on-call, nights, weekends, holidays; 10-12 hour shifts, overtime, and occasional travel with overnights.
  • Other: Valid State Driver’s License with clean record; strong organizational, interpersonal skills; safety priority; tech aptitude for efficiency.
