Position Summary

Williams is hiring Operations Technician I, II, or III LNG in Stokesdale, North Carolina, to support our cutting-edge LNG facility. Operations Technician Levels Overview

Key Responsibilities

In this hands-on role, you'll perform critical tasks to keep our LNG operations running smoothly and safely. Responsibilities scale by level but include:

  • Performing diverse tasks to safely maintain equipment, including testing, calibrating, and validating process safety devices.
  • Conducting data analysis and collaborating with teams to solve technical and operational challenges.
  • Following company policies, operating procedures, and maintenance protocols.
  • Installing and maintaining electrical equipment such as switchgear, instrumentation, motor controls, control loops, distributive control systems, Allen Bradley PLCs, AC/DC systems.
  • Acquiring knowledge of site permits, compliance, and safe operations to protect personnel, community, environment, and assets.
  • Troubleshooting, operating, repairing mechanical/electrical systems, including low/high voltage equipment, UPS systems, and sensors for flow, temperature, pressure, level.
  • Other duties as assigned, with opportunities for leadership at higher levels.

Required Qualifications

Operations Technician I - LNG

  • Required: High School Diploma/GED.
  • Preferred: Associates/two-year technical degree; 6+ months mechanical, technical, or controls experience in oil/gas or internship.

Operations Technician II - LNG

  • Required: High school diploma/GED + minimum 1 year related natural gas industry experience or equivalent.
  • Preferred: Associates/two-year technical degree.

Operations Technician III - LNG

  • Required: High school diploma/GED + minimum 2 years related experience.
  • Preferred: Associates/two-year technical degree + technical licenses/certificates.

Other Requirements (All Levels)

  • Valid State Driver’s License and clean driving record.
  • Aptitude for technology to drive efficiency.
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal skills; safety-first mindset.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, PCs, Process Control Systems, and PLCs.

Physical & Environmental Requirements

  • Work in extreme temperatures, loud noises, enclosed spaces.
  • Lift/carry 50+ lbs; stand, walk, climb, bend, stoop for extended periods.

  • Pass pre-employment physical exam.
