Position Summary

Williams is seeking motivated Operations Technicians at Levels I, II, or III for our Grover, North Carolina location. This role is perfect for hands-on professionals passionate about pipeline operations, equipment maintenance, and safety in the oil and gas industry. Depending on your experience, you'll perform essential tasks to keep our facilities running efficiently and safely.

Operations Technician III candidates will handle advanced responsibilities like interpreting complex drawings, data analysis, and resolving technical issues. Level II and I roles offer entry points with growth potential, supporting daily operations and learning on the job. All levels emphasize safety, compliance, and teamwork in a fast-paced energy sector environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform various tasks to safely maintain equipment and support pipeline operations, including reading and interpreting drawings, inspecting and supervising equipment, and upholding operational, technical, and governmental standards.
• Conduct data analysis and collaborate with team members to identify and resolve technical or operational problems efficiently.
• Follow all company policies, apply appropriate operating and maintenance procedures, and ensure adherence to safe work practices.
• Acquire and maintain knowledge of site-specific equipment, permits, and compliance requirements to protect personnel, the community, environment, and assets.
• Complete assigned reports, logs, and maintain accurate records of process operations and preventative maintenance activities.
• Demonstrate aptitude for technology, using applications to drive operational efficiency and streamline processes.
• Other duties as assigned, including after-hours, on-call, nights, weekends, holidays, overtime (10-12 hour shifts), and occasional travel.

Physical and Environmental Requirements

This role demands physical stamina: work in extreme temperatures, loud noises, and enclosed spaces; carry/lift up to 50 lbs individually or team lift heavier loads; stand, walk, climb, bend, stoop, squat for extended periods; work at heights using man lifts, ladders, scaffolding, or towers with PPE; and use hand tools.

Required Qualifications

Operations Technician III

• Required: High School Diploma/GED and minimum 3 years demonstrated ability as an operations technician or similar role.
• Preferred: Associate's or 2-year technical degree plus 2 years multifaceted operations experience in oil and gas.

Operations Technician II

• Required: High School Diploma/GED, 2 years related experience, and 1 year as a technician in oil and gas.
• Preferred: Associate's or 2-year technical degree.

Operations Technician I

• Required: High School Diploma/GED.
• Preferred: Associate's or 2-year technical degree; 6 months mechanical, technical, or controls experience in oil and gas, or relevant internship.

Other Requirements: Valid State Driver’s License with clean record; excellent organizational and interpersonal skills; safety as top priority; proficiency in Microsoft Office, PC skills, and Process Control Systems/Programmable Logic.
