Position Summary

Williams is seeking motivated Operations Technician I/II professionals for our Mooresville, North Carolina location. This full-time, mid-level role offers hands-on involvement in pipeline operations and facility maintenance within the dynamic oil and gas industry. Operations Technician I focuses on foundational support tasks, while Operations Technician II involves advanced responsibilities like data analysis, drawing interpretation, and problem-solving.

Key Responsibilities

For Operations Technician II

  • Safely maintain equipment and support pipeline operations, including reading/interpreting drawings, inspecting/supervising equipment, and upholding technical standards and governmental requirements.
  • Analyze data and collaborate with teams to resolve technical or operational problems efficiently.
  • Follow all company policies, apply operating and maintenance procedures, and prioritize safety in every task.
  • Acquire and adhere to knowledge of safe facility operations, protecting personnel, community, environment, and assets.
  • Maintain general knowledge of site equipment, locations, and permitting requirements.
  • Complete reports, logs, and accurate records of process operations and preventative maintenance.
  • Perform other duties as assigned, embracing technology for operational efficiency.

For Operations Technician I

  • Perform tasks to safely maintain facility equipment and support pipeline operations, including inspections and compliance with standards.
  • Collaborate with others to identify solutions for technical or operational challenges.
  • Adhere to company policies, safety protocols, and maintenance procedures.
  • Build knowledge of efficient operations and asset protection.

Both levels require availability for after-hours, on-call, nights, weekends, holidays, overtime (10-12 hour shifts), and occasional travel with overnights.

Required Qualifications

Education and Experience

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Operations Technician II: Minimum 2 years related experience + 1 year as oil/gas technician.
  • Operations Technician I: Entry-level with related experience preferred.
  • Preferred: Associates degree or two-year technical degree in relevant field.

Physical and Environmental Requirements

  • Willing to work in extreme temperatures, loud noises, and enclosed spaces.
  • Carry/lift up to 50 lbs individually; team lift heavier loads.
  • Stand, walk, climb, bend, stoop, squat for extended periods.
  • Work at heights using man lifts, ladders, scaffolding, with PPE.
  • Use hand tools regularly.

Other Requirements

  • Valid State Driver’s License with clean driving record.
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal skills; safety as top priority.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, PC skills, Process Control Systems, and Programmable Logic Controllers.
