Position Summary

Williams is seeking a skilled Operations Technician (I or II) - Measurement to join our team in Shreveport, Louisiana. Key Responsibilities

  • Safely maintain equipment and support pipeline operations, including reading and interpreting technical drawings, inspecting and supervising equipment to meet operational, technical, and governmental standards.
  • Analyze data and collaborate with team members to identify and implement solutions for technical and operational problems.
  • Follow all company policies, apply appropriate operating and maintenance procedures, and ensure compliance with permits and regulations.
  • Acquire and maintain knowledge of site-specific equipment, locations, and permitting requirements for safe and efficient operations.
  • Complete assigned reports, logs, and maintain accurate records of process operations and preventative maintenance activities.
  • Verify, calibrate, and validate gas and liquid hydrocarbon flow measurement devices and related equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and maintain orifice, ultrasonic, Coriolis flow measurement systems, analytical equipment for gas and liquid hydrocarbon combustion, and communication devices in SCADA systems.
  • Adhere to safety protocols protecting the community, personnel, environment, and company assets.
  • Perform other duties as assigned, including on-call rotations, overtime, and occasional travel.

Required Qualifications

  • Education: High School Diploma or GED required; Associates or two-year technical degree preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum two (2) years of related experience and at least one (1) year as a technician in the oil and gas industry.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, PC skills, Process Control Systems, and Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs). Aptitude for embracing technology to drive efficiency.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to work in extreme temperatures, loud noises, and enclosed spaces; carry/lift up to 50 lbs individually or team lift heavier loads; stand, walk, climb, bend, stoop, and squat for extended periods; work at elevated heights with PPE; use hand tools.
  • Work Schedule: Available for after-hours, on-call, nights, weekends, holidays, overtime (10-12 hour shifts), and occasional travel with overnight stays.
  • Other: Valid State Driver’s License with clean driving record; excellent organizational and interpersonal skills; unwavering commitment to safety.
