Oracle is seeking Advanced Degree Software Engineers in Database Technologies for recent Master's or PhD graduates starting June/July 2026 in Redwood Shores, CA. This new college grad role focuses on innovating Oracle's industry-leading database solutions. Responsibilities

• Design and develop advanced features for Oracle Database, including query optimization and performance tuning.
• Implement scalable, high-performance database kernel components using C/C++ and Java.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate database technologies with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure.
• Conduct performance analysis and benchmarking of database workloads.
• Contribute to distributed database systems and multi-tenant cloud architectures.
• Debug complex issues in production environments and develop robust fixes.
• Research and prototype emerging technologies like AI/ML integration in databases.
• Write technical documentation and present findings to engineering leadership.

Qualifications

• Master’s or PhD in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field (graduating by June/July 2026 or within 12 months prior).
• Strong proficiency in C/C++, Java, or similar systems programming languages.
• Deep knowledge of database systems, including relational models, SQL, and query processing.
• Experience with operating systems, concurrency, and data structures.
• Demonstrated ability to solve complex algorithmic problems.
• Excellent communication skills and passion for database innovation.
