Position Overview

Join Oracle Applications Labs in Budapest, where we design, build, and operate mission-critical AI-based enterprise applications, including systems that automate our AI cloud data centers. Our mission is to showcase Oracle’s AI-driven products and technologies by deploying them internally, supporting Oracle’s growth as a global AI leader. As an AI Applications Engineer, you’ll collaborate with a global team of data scientists, AI engineers, program managers, and scrum masters to transform Oracle into an industry leader in AI.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy AI-powered applications to automate Oracle's cloud data centers and enterprise workflows.
• Build scalable machine learning models and integrate them into production-grade enterprise systems.
• Collaborate with data scientists and engineers to optimize AI algorithms for real-time performance in mission-critical environments.
• Implement AI-driven automation tools to enhance operational efficiency across Oracle's internal infrastructure.
• Develop and maintain robust APIs and microservices for AI application integration with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).
• Conduct performance tuning, monitoring, and troubleshooting of AI systems to ensure high availability and reliability.
• Work in agile scrum teams to deliver iterative improvements and new features for AI enterprise applications.
• Document technical designs, codebases, and deployment processes to support team knowledge sharing.
• Evaluate and integrate emerging AI technologies to keep Oracle's internal applications at the cutting edge.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to best practices for secure, scalable AI engineering.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science, or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in software engineering with a focus on AI/ML applications.
• Proficiency in Python, Java, or Go for developing AI-integrated enterprise applications.
• Hands-on experience with machine learning frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Oracle's AI services.
• Strong knowledge of cloud platforms, particularly Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) or AWS/Azure equivalents.
• Experience with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes) for deploying AI workloads.
• Demonstrated ability to work in agile environments with scrum masters and cross-functional teams.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to handle complex, large-scale systems.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s degree in AI, Machine Learning, or related discipline.
• Experience with Oracle Fusion Applications or enterprise ERP systems.
• Familiarity with MLOps practices and tools like Kubeflow or MLflow.
• Knowledge of data center automation and infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, Ansible).
• Prior contributions to open-source AI projects or publications in AI/ML conferences.
