Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) is seeking an IC6 Software Architect specializing in Cryptography to design and lead secure cryptographic systems for our cloud platform. In this role, you will architect innovative security solutions, ensure compliance with global standards, and drive the evolution of OCI's cryptography infrastructure. Responsibilities

• Architect end-to-end cryptographic systems for OCI services, including key management and encryption protocols.
• Design and implement secure multi-tenant cryptographic architectures compliant with FIPS 140-2/3 and NIST standards.
• Lead the development of hardware security modules (HSM) integrations and quantum-resistant algorithms.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to embed cryptography into cloud services like storage, networking, and compute.
• Conduct threat modeling, risk assessments, and cryptographic reviews for new features.
• Drive research into emerging cryptographic technologies and contribute to open-source security projects.
• Mentor engineers on best practices for secure key handling, certificate management, and data protection.
• Engage with customers and partners to define cryptography requirements and SLAs for OCI security.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of experience in software architecture with deep expertise in cryptography and security engineering.
• Strong knowledge of cryptographic primitives, protocols (e.g., TLS, PKCS#11), and standards (NIST, ISO).
• Proven track record designing scalable key management systems (KMS) in cloud environments.
• Experience with HSMs (e.g., Thales, YubiHSM), side-channel attacks, and post-quantum cryptography.
• Proficiency in C/C++, Java, or Rust for performance-critical cryptographic implementations.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and experience leading cross-functional security projects.
