Position Overview

Oracle is seeking a Cloud Solution Engineer 6 to join our new Cloud Platform Technology Consulting Team in North Ryde, Australia. In this role, you will provide hands-on technical expertise and support to customers embarking on their cloud journey with Trials and 'Pay As You Go' services, focusing on Oracle's Data Cloud platform. You will engage directly with customers to demonstrate products, migrate workloads, resolve issues, and activate services, ensuring a seamless adoption experience. Key Responsibilities

• Deliver technical demonstrations of Oracle Cloud Platform services, including Data Cloud solutions, to showcase capabilities and drive customer adoption.
• Guide customers through workload migrations from on-premises environments to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).
• Conduct testing and validation of cloud workloads to ensure performance, security, and compliance.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to cloud service activation, configuration, and optimization.
• Collaborate with customers to assess their cloud readiness and develop tailored adoption roadmaps.
• Activate and configure cloud services, including databases, analytics, and integration tools, for Trials and Pay As You Go accounts.
• Provide proactive support and knowledge transfer to empower customers during their initial cloud journey.
• Document customer engagements, technical solutions, and best practices to contribute to team knowledge base.
• Engage with cross-functional teams to escalate complex issues and align on customer success strategies.
• Stay updated on Oracle Cloud innovations and incorporate them into customer interactions.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in cloud computing, with hands-on expertise in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) or comparable platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Strong knowledge of Data Cloud technologies, including Oracle Autonomous Database, analytics services, and data management tools.
• Proven experience in workload migration, cloud architecture design, and technical troubleshooting.
• Excellent customer-facing skills with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly.
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell for automation tasks.
• Understanding of networking, security, and identity management in cloud environments.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple customer engagements simultaneously.

Preferred Qualifications

• Oracle Cloud certifications such as OCI Architect Professional or Data Management certifications.
• Experience with Oracle Fusion Cloud Applications or Oracle Analytics Cloud.
• Background in consulting or pre-sales engineering roles supporting cloud adoption.
• Familiarity with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and container technologies like Kubernetes.
• Prior experience working with Australian customers or in the APAC region.
