Our mission is to help people see data differently, unlocking the potential of AI and cloud to drive real-world impact.

Position Overview

As a Consulting Member of Technical Staff – HealthCare Product Suite, you will be a key contributor in designing and building the foundational infrastructure that powers Oracle’s next-generation HealthCare Product Suite. Our product automates complex healthcare workflows—from clinical decision support and patient communication to reimbursement processes—enabling AI-first solutions that improve outcomes for clinicians, patients, and healthcare operations. You will leverage your expertise in backend systems, data platforms, and distributed architectures to deliver scalable, secure platforms that handle massive healthcare datasets and real-time decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and architect scalable backend systems and distributed infrastructure to support high-volume healthcare data processing and AI model integration.

  • Build and optimize data platforms for handling structured and unstructured healthcare data, ensuring compliance with HIPAA and other regulations.
  • Collaborate with product managers, data scientists, and frontend teams to define technical requirements and deliver end-to-end solutions.
  • Implement fault-tolerant, cloud-native architectures using Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) to achieve 99.99% uptime for mission-critical healthcare applications.
  • Lead code reviews, mentor junior engineers, and drive best practices in software development, testing, and deployment.
  • Optimize system performance for real-time analytics, predictive modeling, and automated reimbursement processing in healthcare environments.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex production issues, ensuring minimal downtime for healthcare providers relying on the platform.
  • Contribute to the evolution of AI-driven features, such as intelligent workflow automation and personalized patient communication tools.
  • Document technical designs, APIs, and system architectures to facilitate knowledge sharing and scalability.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • 8+ years of professional experience in backend software development with a focus on distributed systems and data-intensive applications.
  • Strong proficiency in Java, Python, or Go, with experience building scalable microservices and RESTful APIs.
  • Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (e.g., OCI, AWS, Azure) and containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Demonstrated expertise in relational and NoSQL databases (e.g., Oracle Database, PostgreSQL, MongoDB) for high-throughput data management.
  • Experience with healthcare data standards such as HL7, FHIR, or ICD-10, and familiarity with regulatory compliance (HIPAA, HITRUST).
  • Proven ability to design systems for reliability, scalability, and security in mission-critical environments.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and experience with agile methodologies and CI/CD pipelines.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience developing AI/ML-integrated applications, particularly in healthcare domains like predictive analytics or clinical decision support.
  • Knowledge of Oracle Cloud Infrastructure services, including Oracle Autonomous Database and AI services.
  • Prior work on healthcare software products involving workflow automation, patient data management, or reimbursement systems.
  • Familiarity with event-driven architectures using Kafka, RabbitMQ, or similar streaming platforms.
  • Contributions to open-source projects or publications in distributed systems or healthcare technology.

What We Offer

  • Competitive salary and performance-based bonuses with comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance.
  • Generous paid time off, including vacation, sick leave, and parental leave programs.
  • 401(k) retirement savings plan with company matching and employee stock purchase program.
  • Flexible work arrangements with remote and hybrid options, plus modern office spaces in prime locations.
