Position Overview

As a Consulting Member of Technical Staff in Oracle's Security Products Group, you will contribute to the design, development, and optimization of world-class security products that protect enterprise environments. This role offers the opportunity to work on high-impact projects involving cloud security, identity management, and threat detection technologies. Based in India, you will collaborate with global teams to deliver scalable solutions that meet the evolving needs of our customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement secure, scalable features for Oracle's security products, including identity and access management systems.
  • Develop and maintain high-performance code using Java, C++, or Python to enhance product functionality and reliability.
  • Conduct security code reviews and vulnerability assessments to ensure compliance with industry standards like OWASP and NIST.
  • Collaborate with product managers and architects to define technical requirements and roadmaps for security enhancements.
  • Integrate security products with cloud platforms such as Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) and multi-cloud environments.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues in production environments, optimizing performance under high-load scenarios.
  • Prototype innovative solutions for emerging threats, including AI-driven anomaly detection and zero-trust architectures.
  • Write comprehensive technical documentation and contribute to knowledge-sharing within the team.
  • Participate in agile development processes, including sprint planning, code reviews, and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD).
  • Mentor junior engineers and foster a culture of security best practices across engineering teams.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • 8+ years of professional software development experience, with at least 3 years focused on security products or systems.
  • Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Java, C++, Python, or Go.
  • Deep understanding of security principles, including authentication, authorization, encryption, and secure coding practices.
  • Experience with cloud security technologies and platforms like OCI, AWS, or Azure.
  • Proven track record of delivering scalable, production-ready software in fast-paced environments.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to debug complex distributed systems.
  • Strong communication skills with experience collaborating in cross-functional, global teams.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced certifications such as CISSP, CEH, or Oracle Cloud certifications.
  • Experience with identity management systems like Oracle Identity Cloud Service (IDCS) or Okta.
  • Familiarity with machine learning for security applications, such as threat detection models.
  • Contributions to open-source security projects or publications in security conferences.
  • Knowledge of DevSecOps practices and tools like Terraform, Jenkins, or Kubernetes.
