Responsibilities

• Design and implement high-performance indexing structures for Oracle Database.
• Optimize B-tree indexes for massive scale and complex workloads.
• Develop Iceberg table format integration for cloud-native data lakes.
• Build vector indexes enabling efficient AI/ML similarity searches.
• Drive AI-scale data performance through innovative indexing algorithms.
• Collaborate with engineering teams on database kernel enhancements.
• Conduct performance analysis and benchmarking of indexing solutions.
• Contribute to technical roadmaps and architecture decisions.

Qualifications

• BS/MS/PhD in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
• 8+ years experience in database systems or storage engines.
• Deep expertise in indexing algorithms (B-tree, LSM, etc.).
• Strong C/C++ programming skills and systems programming experience.
• Experience with distributed systems and cloud storage formats.
• Knowledge of vector databases or similarity search technologies.
