Position Overview

As a Consulting Member of Technical Staff in Seattle, WA, you will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and troubleshooting customer architectures, solutions, and migration programs across security, networking, databases, and applications. This position offers the opportunity to work directly with enterprise customers, delivering high-impact technical solutions that drive business success. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to create robust, scalable systems while contributing to Oracle's thought leadership in cloud migration and optimization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design comprehensive customer architectures for security, networking, databases, and enterprise applications to meet complex business requirements
  • Develop and implement migration programs that seamlessly transition customer workloads to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI)
  • Troubleshoot and debug intricate technical issues in customer environments, ensuring high availability and performance
  • Create detailed technical content, including architecture diagrams, whitepapers, and best practice guides for customer solutions
  • Collaborate with sales, product, and engineering teams to define solution blueprints and proof-of-concepts
  • Lead technical workshops and presentations to educate customers on Oracle technologies and migration strategies
  • Optimize database and application performance through advanced tuning, scaling, and automation techniques
  • Conduct security assessments and implement robust network architectures compliant with industry standards
  • Mentor junior team members and contribute to internal knowledge-sharing initiatives
  • Stay abreast of emerging technologies and integrate innovative solutions into customer architectures

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field, or equivalent practical experience
  • 7+ years of experience in software development, systems architecture, or cloud consulting
  • Strong expertise in database technologies, including Oracle Database, MySQL, or PostgreSQL
  • Proven track record in designing and implementing secure network architectures and solutions
  • Hands-on experience with cloud platforms, preferably Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) or AWS/Azure
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, or Go for developing automation scripts and tools
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex, multi-tiered systems
  • Strong communication skills to articulate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Oracle Fusion Cloud Applications or Oracle Autonomous Database
  • Advanced certifications such as Oracle Cloud Professional Architect or AWS Solutions Architect
  • Background in enterprise migration projects involving large-scale data transfers and application modernization
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform
  • Prior consulting experience working directly with Fortune 500 customers
