Overview

We are seeking an accomplished Oracle Infrastructure/Networking Technical Lead to join the Oracle GDI Landing Zone/SCCA buildout team supporting a Department of Defense (DoD) project. The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in cloud infrastructure, extensive DoD experience, and a strong understanding of DoD and cloud security requirements. This Consulting Technical Director role is based in Reston, VA, and focuses on delivering secure, scalable Oracle cloud solutions for mission-critical applications.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and implementation of Oracle GDI Landing Zone and SCCA infrastructure for DoD environments.
• Architect secure networking solutions within Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) compliant with DoD standards.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to build out scalable, high-availability cloud architectures.
• Conduct security assessments and ensure adherence to FedRAMP, IL4/IL5, and DoD Impact Levels.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineering teams on Oracle best practices.
• Develop and maintain infrastructure-as-code (IaC) using Terraform and OCI native tools.
• Troubleshoot complex networking and infrastructure issues in production DoD environments.
• Support project delivery by creating documentation, diagrams, and compliance reports.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure, with 5+ years focused on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).
• Proven expertise in OCI networking, load balancers, VPNs, and FastConnect.
• Extensive experience with DoD projects, including IL4/IL5 compliance and RMF processes.
• Strong knowledge of DoD security requirements, SCCA, and C2S environments.
• Hands-on experience with Terraform, Ansible, and CI/CD pipelines for IaC.
• Active DoD security clearance (Secret or higher) required.
