Position Overview

The Contracts Administrator 1-Fin role within Oracle's Customer Deal Desk Management team supports sales teams by drafting and managing customer contracts to secure deals efficiently. This dynamic position emphasizes risk mitigation, process excellence, and accuracy in contract creation, enabling independent handling of complex transactions. Ideal candidates thrive in fast-paced environments, prioritizing precision while adapting quickly to evolving deal requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Draft and review customer contracts in collaboration with sales teams to facilitate deal closure
  • Identify and mitigate risks in contract terms, ensuring compliance with Oracle policies and legal standards
  • Manage the end-to-end contract lifecycle from initiation to execution
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders, including legal, finance, and sales, to resolve contract-related issues
  • Utilize contract management tools to track, update, and maintain accurate contract records
  • Provide guidance on standard contract templates and negotiate minor deviations when necessary
  • Conduct thorough quality checks to ensure error-free contracts before final approval
  • Support deal desk processes by analyzing contract data and recommending process improvements
  • Respond promptly to sales inquiries on contract status and potential roadblocks
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Oracle's contracting guidelines and industry best practices

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Law, or a related field
  • 1-2 years of experience in contract administration, legal support, or deal desk operations
  • Strong understanding of contract fundamentals, including terms, conditions, and compliance
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Word
  • Ability to work flexibly, including night shifts to align with global teams
  • High attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and process adherence
  • Demonstrated ability to learn quickly and adapt to dynamic business processes

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in contract drafting or negotiations within a sales or deal desk environment
  • Stakeholder management experience across sales, legal, and finance functions
  • Familiarity with contract lifecycle management (CLM) software or CRM tools like Salesforce
  • Prior exposure to technology or SaaS industry contracts
  • Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables and data analysis functions
