Overview

Oracle’s Infrastructure Central Architecture team is redefining hyperscale data center design, automation, and operations. This role architects the control-system and telemetry software layer unifying BMS, DCMI, SCADA/PLC, power/cooling telemetry, and automation across Oracle’s global data centers. Responsibilities

• Architect unified control systems integrating BMS, DCMI, SCADA/PLC, and telemetry for global data centers.
• Design scalable software frameworks for real-time power, cooling, and environmental monitoring.
• Develop automation pipelines for data center operations, fault detection, and predictive maintenance.
• Collaborate with hardware, firmware, and cloud teams to define telemetry standards and APIs.
• Lead evaluation and integration of industrial protocols (Modbus, BACnet, OPC-UA).
• Optimize control systems for hyperscale efficiency, reliability, and zero-downtime operations.
• Mentor engineers on BMS architecture best practices and contribute to open-source telemetry tools.
• Drive proof-of-concepts and pilots for next-gen data center control innovations.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in data center controls, BMS, SCADA, or industrial automation architecture.
• Expertise in designing distributed control systems for hyperscale environments.
• Deep knowledge of industrial protocols, PLC programming, and telemetry systems.
• Strong experience with cloud-native architectures, microservices, and real-time data processing.
• Proficiency in Python, Go, or C++ for systems programming and automation frameworks.
• Proven track record delivering mission-critical infrastructure at global scale.
