Overview

Responsible for delivering effective on-site technical support and installations for Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) Data Centers in Malaysia. Focuses on hands-on hardware, network, and cabling deployments to ensure data center builds meet the highest standards of quality, security, and efficiency. Collaborates with cross-functional teams, vendors, and local build teams to drive best practices, resolve escalations, and ensure readiness for production operations.

Responsibilities

• Perform hands-on hardware installations, including servers, storage, and compute racks in OCI data centers.
• Execute network deployments, including cabling, switch configurations, and fiber optic terminations.
• Conduct quality assurance checks and validations during data center builds to meet Oracle standards.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical escalations related to hardware, networking, and infrastructure issues.
• Collaborate with vendors and local build teams to coordinate deployments and ensure timely execution.
• Implement security protocols and compliance measures during on-site operations.
• Document deployment processes, issues, and resolutions for knowledge sharing and audits.
• Support production readiness testing and handoff to operations teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in data center hardware deployment, networking, or operations.
• Strong hands-on expertise with server hardware, cabling standards (e.g., TIA/EIA), and network equipment.
• Experience with cloud infrastructure deployments, preferably OCI, AWS, or Azure.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure in fast-paced environments.
• Ability to travel within Malaysia and work on-site in data centers; valid work authorization required.
