Overview

Maintain and support Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) data center hardware operations in Japan. Provide troubleshooting and onsite technical support to ensure reliable performance. Collaborate with teams to uphold high availability and efficiency of data center infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and inspections on servers, storage, and networking hardware.
• Troubleshoot and resolve hardware failures, cabling issues, and environmental problems.
• Install, configure, and decommission data center equipment following OCI standards.
• Monitor power, cooling, and environmental systems for optimal data center conditions.
• Execute rack and stack operations for new deployments and upgrades.
• Conduct inventory audits and maintain accurate asset tracking records.
• Respond to on-call emergencies and provide 24/7 onsite support as needed.
• Document all activities, incidents, and resolutions in OCI systems.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in data center operations or hardware support.
• Strong knowledge of server hardware, networking, and storage systems.
• Proficiency in troubleshooting tools and diagnostic methodologies.
• Experience with Linux/Unix systems and basic scripting (Bash/Python).
• Ability to work in Japan; Japanese language proficiency preferred.
• Physical ability to lift 50lbs and work in a 24/7 data center environment.
